Cerebral palsy is a physical disability that affects movement and posture. It is the most common physical disability in childhood and is the result of damage to the developing brain. There is no cure for cerebral palsy, and in most cases the exact cause is unknown. Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) provides family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment and support for people and their families living with cerebral palsy and other neurological and physical disabilities.
How VivCourt helped
We are able to support CPA as they transform the lives of people with a disability. This includes giving mobility to those who cannot walk, a voice to those who cannot talk, and providing unprecedented opportunities for people to achieve independence and participate in community life. We want to support CPA’s vision to maximise independence of people with disabilities through access to the latest technologies, specialised equipment and products that can enrich their lives.

“The main reason that I chose Cerebral Palsy is because of my childhood experience. When I was young I lived with my grandma and my aunt and my uncle. And my uncle, he had brain damage. So he couldn’t move at all; couldn’t really express himself ; couldn’t really participate. I would look at him and I would always think ‘is there anything I can do to help you?’.”
